Happy New Year!
Dr. Mandel and the Mandel Vision Team would like to thank all of our patients for a great year! As always, we consider it a privilege that you have all trusted us with your only pair of eyes. We wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!
This Week’s Eye Health Tip
Wearing goggles with a UV400 coating can help protect you from snow blindness. This is a painful condition that is akin to a sunburn of the cornea and is caused by UV rays reflected off ice and snow. The symptoms can include pain, severe light sensitivity and excessive tearing. The worst part is that the symptoms usually don’t start until several hours after exposure, so your best option is a preventive approach by wearing goggles with UV400 coating during any winter sports or prolonged sun exposure during the winter months, particularly when there is snow on the ground.
What Our Patients are
Saying About Us
“On this Thanksgiving day, I am grateful for my EYESIGHT! It has been 1 week and 1 day since my LASIK procedure and I still can’t believe I can see clearly when I open my eyes in the morning.”
“Yup, I have better than 20/20! I was told I have to wear glasses when I was in 3rd grade! I’m 28 now and finally decided to go in under the light.. This place is legit! I was really afraid going in, it’s your eyes… But I only have positive things to say! Dr. Mandel knows what he’s doing and he definitely deserves my 5 star review! I love people that are down to earth..”
