If you have blue or green eyes, you may be more sensitive to the damaging UV rays from the sun.  Wearing sunglasses with a special UV 400 coating can help protect your eyes.  Don’t forget that UV rays can penetrate cloud cover, so be sure to wear sunglasses even on cloudy days.  Click here for more health tips.

Evette started her career in finance where she spent 24 years as a Regional Manager for New Jersey’s largest Credit Union. Corporate restructuring at the Credit Union led her to pursue a career in the medical field.  She began this venture as an office manager and doctors assistant at a prominent Gynecologist’s office where she worked for 5 years.  She then joined Mandel Vision in February 2016 as our Patient Coordinator.  Click here to read more.

Hyperopia (Farsightedness)

Hyperopia, also known as farsightedness, is a condition of the eye which primarily causes near objects to appear blurry.  Farsightedness isn’t as straightforward as nearsightedness as it can also cause distant objects to appear blurry, if severe enough.  In order to understand hyperopia, it’s helpful to know a little bit about the anatomy of the eye and the visual system. Click here to read the full blog post.
