When Can I Start Wearing Eye Makeup after LASIK Surgery?
We recommend not wearing eye makeup for one week after LASIK surgery. During the first week, we ask our patients to avoid makeup which can harbor irritants and bacteria, and also so that the eyes aren’t traumatized during the healing period in the first week. After a week, eye makeup can be applied, but we instruct our patients on how to best remove the makeup to avoid irritating their eyes.
